I've been hearing a lot of you ladies talking and tweeting about healthy home-made fruit smoothies. So when I saw Janelle from Comfy In the Kitchen posting one at her blog, I asked if I could share the recipe with you. She said yes!!! Thank you, Janelle!!
Strawberry-Banana-'n Cream Fruit Smoothies~ By Janelle Nehrenz
(serves 4-5)
Oh, how I love a cool, fresh, fruit smoothie! Make these for breakfast or have them as a treat on a sunny afternoon. Here is a delicious recipe you and your entire family will enjoy! This is a healthier option in place of going out for ice cream or making milkshakes at home, yet still just as satisfying!
Strawberries, ice, bananas, orange juice, vanilla soy milk
Blend well
15 Whole Strawberries (approx)
2 Bananas
1 Cup Vanilla Soy Milk

We also love "green" smoothies. Basically the same recipe as above but I add a big handful of fresh, raw spinach leaves. They blend right up in the blender and I can't even taste it- just the fruit. I like these on days when I feel like I haven't had enough green veggies. The kids like them, too, and never know they're drinking veggies!
