Reshaping it All - Day 16

Reshaping it All - Day 16

Over the weekend, I heard a few of you saying that since the week was stressful and busy, you managed to fall off the wagon. I understand that, but the question for you is this: are you willing to pick yourself up off the ground and get back in the race?

Brick walls are something we all come up against. In fact stumbling is a natural part of any change plan. But the way to land on your feet after a fall is to ignore the negative messages and keep your thoughts on the goal ahead.

Don't focus on what happened yesterday--focus on what you can change today. At this very moment, you are no more a failure than anyone else. You still have the ability to choose well today, and if you apply yourself well--you will.

Consider this... if a man is running a marathon and he stumbles at the three mile mark, does he go back to the starting line to continue the race, or does he pick himself up and move on from there? He moves on from the three mile mark, right?

In much the same way, you are NOT back to square one. If you did well for 12 days and had one rough weekend--so what? Is God keeping score of the brownies you ate? Not likely--and neither are we. Stumble or soar, we're in this together for 65 days!

Now listen up, ladies! Next time you're mindlessly looking for something to eat, take a look at the list on page 61 and ask if any of those things are eating at you.

Hunger, anger, emotion, and stress can easily knock us off of our game, so be aware of that pit before you fall in and refuse to let these emotions get in the way of your goals.

Congratulations, Sandy!! You have won a $25.00 Amazon gift certificate.

Thank you to our sponsor Art Bookbindery, "Empowering Writers to Self Publish."

Sandy, please email me at darlene[at]darleneschacht.net so I can send the Amazon gift certificate out to you.

  2. I am such an emotional eater. I am really trying to deal with the emotions rather than stuffing a breadstick in my mouth. I am so thankful for the Reshaping It All experience!

  5. What an encouragement! I'd never thought of the marathon runner analogy before. Thanks so much! I've fallen more times than I'd care to count, but I'm still here!
